Artist's Statement
Beth Rohman is a native Californian, born in Pasadena. She became inspired to work with clay after visiting her Danish cousins on the island of Bornholm in 1971.
She studied with Phil Cornelius at Pasadena City College. Her
influences have been many, most notably Peter Volkous, Georgia O'Keefe, and Susan Peterson.
Since 2000, her focus has been in porcelain and carbon-trap-shino glazes. In 2002 a workshop with Malcolm Davis led to the 2003 Fall Concentration with Davis and Kent McLaughlin at The Penland School of Crafts, North Carolina.
Her work has been exhibited in Los Angeles and Orange County, as well
as nationally. In the 2003 annual President's Juried Show for the American Ceramic

gallery of Segil Fine Art in Monrovia, California. Other work is
included in 500 Cups; Ceramic Explorations of Unity & Grace (Lark
