1. I visit the client’s home and assist them in deciding on the size of painting needed for the space. During the visit I am able to observe the color scheme used in the room. I bring photos and/or paintings to start the designing process and have a conversation about what the client would like to see in the painting. If there is a specific place that the client wants represented in the painting, I can visit (within a reasonable distance) that place and photograph it.


2. I will paint up tp three small oil sketches based on the information in Step 1. The client is then able to select a sketch or combine elements of the sketches for the painting.


3. I will begin the painting process by sketching the subject on the canvas. Clients are welcome to come to my home studio in La Canada at any time during the painting process to see their painting as it develops. I encourage a client to see the painting when it is about 2/3 complete as this is time when changes can be easily made. My clients enjoy this interactive aspect of the process and they learn how a painting is developed.


4. I will assist the client in selecting a frame for their painting and will include this in the cost of the painting.


5. I will deliver the painting and include a hanging service for the painting.


6. I will prepare a formal statement of the information on the painting for insurance purposes.


7. Pricing is based on size and complexity of the subject. The payment plan includes three payments over the course of the painting process.
