Artist's Bio
Although art came naturally to Scott, it wasn’t until his second year in college that he took his first formal class in art. A pre-med student at the time, he shocked his family when he announced his plan to change his major to art. A year later he was accepted to Art Center College of Design, and graduated from there with a BFA in Graphics-Packaging. Four years after graduation, in the midst of being engaged and running a graphic design studio, Scott fell from an extension ladder and was paralyzed from the chest down. With the help of what Scott lists as “Faith, Family and Friends” he worked his way back as a designer, married the woman he calls the “real hero” and has never looked back. He has worked for clients that include Toyota, Yamaha, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Lockheed and Time magazine. He has taught graphic design at the High School level and for two years directed the Mountainside Fine Art Gallery in Old Town Monrovia.
Scott now enjoys painting full time in his studio at home in Monrovia, and frequently getting away to his “ranch” in Lone Pine, California.
