Artist's Statement
Born to an artist illustrator father, Lynne began her art studies at the tender age of 5 years old. (At least that’s her earliest recollection)
Fluent in watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and oils, Lynne has been primarily working in oils for the past 8 years.
Leaving the comfort of her studio, and heading out for the great outdoors, she has joined the Huntington Garden Art Guild, the ‘Artists of the Canyon’, of Glendale, and regularly paints on Thursdays, with the ‘Thursday en Plein-Air Painters’, formed by Mid-Valley Arts League.
Painting outdoors has honed her skills in color interpretation and freed her to become more impressionistic in her approach to landscape painting.
Lynne is winner of ‘Best in Show’ and the Don Miles Award, at San Gabriel Fine Arts Shows, and Best of Show at Mid-Valley Arts League, and has won many awards at the regions’ local art shows.
In 2007, she participated in the Phantom Galleries of Los Angeles, and in ‘Garden Art’ at the Garland Gallery, with artists from the Huntington Art Guild. In, 2008, she joined with the ‘Artists of the Canyon’ had a show of canyon & country club landscapes. In April she will have a show of her work at the Chevy Chase Country Club.
