Segil Fine Art is pleases to present the new collection of paintings by renowned artist, W. Jason Situ in his One Man Show. In this exhibit, Mr. Situ honors both the landscapes that he has become famous for as well as intimate scenes such as “Tea Time,” a look down the rose path arbor at the Huntington Library in Pasadena, CA. His love of nature and true understanding of his lifelong art come together in this compelling show. There will be a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, Saturday, November 3rd from 5-8 pm. The exhibit will be on display through Saturday, November 24th. This exhibit will also be available for online viewing November 3rd at www.segilfineart.com. | |

W. JASON SITU
W. Jason Situ was born in 1949 in Guang Dong, China. He began painting in high school during China’s “Cultural Revolution” and completed his art education at the Guangzhou Fine Arts Institute, one of China’s most prestigious and competitive art academies. In 1989 Mr. Situ immigrated to the United States with his family. He was fascinated by the beautiful California landscape and soon decided to become a plein air painter. He has been a full-time artist since 1997 and has shown his
work across the United States.He is a signature member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painters Association, Oil Painters of America, Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters and an honorary member of the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society.
Mr. Situ has won numerous awards for his artwork including the “Award of Excellence,” Oil Painters of America 13th Annual National Juried Show, “Artist’s Choice Award,” La Quinta Plein Air Juried Competition, and “Best in Show-National Award of Excellence,” Oil painters of America 10th Annual National Juried Show. The Painting Patrons of the California Art Club launches its Rivers & Harbors/Sources & Confluences fine art juried show with a reception at the Pasadena Women's City Club on Saturday, November 3, from 5:00 p.m. The show will run through June 5, 2008. Two of Jennifer's paintings have been selected for the 2007 Greenwich Workshop's Gallery's 'SmallWorks ~ North America' Exhibition and Sale. 'Small Works ~ North America' is a show with ambition; to elevate the increasingly popular "miniature show" format by bringing to this event all the capabilities of the Greenwich Workshop: to exhibit, sell and publish the best art from the finest artists working today.
