This Month's Featured Exhibiting Artist

This month I would like to introduce you to the work of Keewon Hong.

KEEWON HONG
Born in South Korea, Keewon immigrated to America in 1983. He is a self-taught artist who has been working in the Los Angeles area producing murals, fine art painting, and portraiture for the past fifteen years. His work is influenced by artists such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Corrot and Inness. He strives to emphasize the feelings of beauty and thought of each person portrayed in his figure paintings and the quite, intimate, and sublime stillness of nature in his landscape work. His goal is to provide an emotional experience to the viewer who might, in return, have insightful reflections and beautiful thoughts of their own. Keewon’s hope is that he will continue to develop his personal style of painting as he celebrates both nature and humanity by exploring their cyclical relationship.

Collector's Corner
Collecting Segil Fine Art Artists
The First in a Series Looking at the Gallery Artists

For the past few years in writing this newsletter, it has been fun and educational to explore all aspects of our artistic community and commentary that may be of interest to collectors at any level.  Each month we have introduced you to a few artists throughout the newsletter, whether they are that month’s featured artists or have new work in the gallery.  For the next six moths, Collector’s Corner will be devoted to introducing you to Segil Fine Art Gallery Artists.  We’ll give you an “At a Glance” look at the artist, their style, medium and price range, then invite you to click through to the website to read more about the artists a view all of the work available.  Our artists are both emerging and well known, and our prices are some of the most competitive in the area.  Enjoy getting to know our artists!
