William was raised and educated in Southern California. His love of art gardens and wilderness were nourished and nurtured at an early age at family hideaways by the sea and in the mountains.

Although William is best known for his unique one of a kind wood sculptures, he is most proud of his monumental sculpture water wall. This abstract sculpture water wall is constructed of concrete and was completed in 1994. William encourages everyone to visit the wall and make a wish for world peace. The sculpture is located in the Civic Center of the City of Glendale.
